Berenicé Brino

An artist and filmmaker born in Santo Domingo and raised in Miami, FL, Brino's work explores the depths of vulnerability, intimacy, and memory. She employs video, photography, words, and performance to explore themes of intergenerational conflict, matriarchal spiritualism, and the unwavering grapple between revolution and tradition, particularly by analyzing the... nature of identity and systems of oppression. She is a recipient of the Forward Fellowship from Third Horizon Film Festival, which celebrates cutting-edge cinema from the Caribbean, its diaspora, and the Global South, where she will be developing a film titled: Te Amo Tanto, Pero Eres Tan Difícil.
