Erwann Babin
Born in 1981 in Saint-Nazaire, Erwann Babin lives and works in Plogastel-Saint-Germain in Brittany. Visual artist and member of the videographer duo Les Froh Faire with Florian Stéphant since 2012, he experiments with his relationship to image and space through a continuous play with the film medium. The space is seen... as a living context in which they decide to shoot a film. Thus, telephone booths are diverted into a failing teleportation capsule (The Balloonatic), thrown objects are transformed into lost objects immediately found (Brigade de l'Inutile), dozens of Berbers line up pebbles for miles after a cultural misunderstanding ( Oued), thirty cameramen film their village at the same time at the same time, between two fire sirens indicating Turn and Cut (Plozévet Filmé), a farm in Glomel and its surroundings become landscapes of an absurd western (Corne Verte), the 235 students from the Plozévet college play at letting themselves be portrayed for an installation with 70 screens (I am, you are, we are)....
