Dolewatte Appuhamillage Thisura Naveen Jayathilaka (born December 4, 1997, in Kegalle, Sri Lanka) is a Sri Lankan actor and co-founder of WUF (Weekend Underground Filmmakers). He attended Kegalu Vidyalaya, where he won several national and international awards for his drawing. Thisura also showed a strong interest in acting and filmmaking. After... briefly studying interior design at NSBM Green University, he decided to pursue his passion for the arts and enrolled at the Catwalk Model Academy in 2017. In 2018, Thisura made his acting debut in the short film Shoes, directed by his classmate Kavindu Millagala, where he played the lead role of a shoemaker. In 2019, he enrolled in Colombo Film School (formerly Sri Lanka Film School), where he directed three student short films: The Message, Black Rose, and In Another Life. In 2024, he co-founded WUF (Weekend Underground Filmmakers) with several filmmakers from his hometown of Kegalle. He had a minor role in the first WUF film, Pirimi Hith, which was inspired by a poetry book, followed by a lead role in Many Lifetimes.
