David Gamburg
David Gamburg was born on August 6, 1950 in Riga, Latvia. Later he moved to Leningrad, in 1972 he graduated from the theater department of the State Institute of Culture. Krupskaya with a degree in film director. While serving in the Baltic Military District, he was engaged in amateur performances,... wrote music and lyrics for the Sprīdītis ensemble. After graduation, he moved to the Riga Polytechnic Institute, where he directed the student theater studio "Monologue". He also staged performances in various theaters. In 1983, during the filming of the film Moscow on the Hudson, he became friends with Robin Williams, whom he initially taught Russian, then became his acting consultant. In Russia, he is known mainly as a producer and author of serial documentaries on criminal topics: "Criminal Russia" (1995-2014) and "The investigation was conducted... with Leonid Kanevskiy" (since 2006).
